Nancy K. Martin is a writer based in San Antonio, Texas. Her short stories have appeared in Sixfold.org and are forthcoming in Persimmon Tree. A professor emeritus from the University of Texas San Antonio, she is a native of rural southwest Texas where her family has been involved in agriculture for more than 100 years.

She is currently at work on a linked collection of stories set in south Texas. The stories follow one family over several decades – through love and loss, mistakes and forgiveness, and the landscape that witnesses it all.
